From UW-Madison, Dept of Political Science, North Hall Blog:
UW Students Sam Alhadeff and Andrew Park share their thanks and success with the Alexander Hamilton Society Discussion series. Hear their incredible story.
After a short-lived career The Alexander Hamilton Society UW-Madison was in grave danger-without a president; the RSO was forced to step down for a year. In the 2014-2015 academic year Sam Alhadeff and Andrew Park rose to the challenge, taking it upon themselves to breathe life back into the Student Organization. With the help of Professor Donald Downs, faculty advisor of the Chapter, Sam and Andrew worked tirelessly to plan and execute a successful 6 panel discussion event series. This included recruiting 9 officers, contacting various school offices for support, and culminated in top-notch scholars from different organizations and professors across campus collaborating to put on an incredible semester-long panel experience. These young professionals have been awarded the Chapter of the Year Award to recognize their efforts congratulate their success. They express their deepest thanks to the Political Science Department staff and professors for their support, with the biggest credit to beloved and distinguished professor Donald Downs. “If it was not for him, we would have never been able to start the Chapter this strong. Thank you.”
